Kate Voegele’s talent for writing lyrics shows in “99 Times,” “Who You Are Without Me” and “Forever and Almost Always” and if I'm not careful I'll list every track on this awesome album. The album has a similar feel to Don't Look Away; the lyrics tell much more of a story on this album which makes it flow together brilliantly lyrical wise. This album shines when it comes to its lyrics and the songs have a "bad ass" feel to them that will make you needing to tell someone off by the end of it. Among the highlights this album has to offer is “Angel,” which like most of her songs has both a good sound and good lyrics." Other highlights are "Sweet Silver Lining" and "Manhattan From the Sky." My favorite song on this album is by far "Manhattan From the Sky." The lyrics have a story that everyone can relate to, and one that I like to think about. The feel of the song is also a good one to jam out to in the car. The more I listen to this album the more I enjoy it, the more addicted I get, the more impressed I am and the more I put my own take on each song.
Die hard fans of Kate Voegele will be more than satisfied, although it might not be as big of a hit as Don’t Look Away. Give it time and a few more listens and you'll be enjoying this album even more than her first one. New listeners will be wanting more. This girl is making a name for herself among people such as KT Tunstall, Taylor Swift, Michelle Branch and more. All in all I’d give it a 4 out of 5 stars. This album was worth the wait.
